What if I need to cancel? What is the cancellation policy on Dabble?

Dabble is run by real people. Our teachers and hosts are solopreneurs, makers and small business owners - not big companies. We all work very hard to offer you great experiences, so we need your help to make the community work.

TEMPORARY UPDATE TO DABBLE CANCELLATION POLICY: (Updated, August, 24 2020)

Due to the concerns about limiting the spread of COVID-19, we are updating Dabble's cancellation policy as follows:

  • We are temporarily revising our current 7-day cancellation policy listed below as follows. If you are not feeling well, we trust you are ill and we don't need proof. Dabble events are almost always less than 10 people but if you are practicing the recommended social distancing and don't feel comfortable attending a booked event, we'll credit your Dabble account and work with you to rebook as long as you reach out BEFORE the event.

  • Any bookings canceled for these reasons are eligible to receive a transfer or credit for their booking. No refunds will be issued if more than 72 hours from the time of your booking. Let's support small business, be patient, be understanding, be smart, and stay healthy.

  • Please note that most events are NOT being canceled but rather postponed and rescheduled due to these unprecedented times. If the new date(s) does not work for your schedule, we'll review requests for refunds on a case-by-case basis. However, due to the impact on our business and those of our event partners, refunds could take up to 7-10 business days.

  • If your work, school, or organization is canceling group activities for previously booked public or private events we will credit your Dabble account and we will work to rebook. When operations return to normal, we'll review refund requests on a case-by-case basis to reach a fair resolution.

  • Due to the relatively small size of Dabble events (less than 10), we are continuing with event booking and ticketing until advised otherwise by the CDC. We are encouraging Dabblers to limit or avoid contact as much as possible and use waving or alternative greetings.

  • We are advising all of our event partners to wash hands, offer hand sanitizer, and perform extra cleaning of surfaces, doorknobs, handles, etc. at their event venues.

We know things come up (work, sick pets, unexpected travel, tacos...) but if you find you can’t make it to a class or experience AND your situation meets the criteria outlined below to explore a credit or refund, request away through your account dashboard using this link: https://dabble.co/dashboard/taking-classes.

We just encourage you to cancel your reservation as soon as possible through your dashboard (linked above) to ensure someone else has the opportunity to book the spot instead. In most cases, if your request comes less than 7 days and your spot is filled after we release it to the Dabble community then we will issue a credit to your account. Be sure to read any custom cancellation policies that differ from the policy listed below.

Please note, that less than 7 days, the host of your event is not obligated to approve or respond. The best option less 1-2 days from an event is to sell or give away your tickets if you can't attend and just let us know who is attending. DABBLE CANCELLATION POLICY:

  • If you register and cancel more than 7 days ahead of the event being held, you will be fully refunded in Dabble Bucks. If you do not cancel within 72 hours from your time of purchase then your sale is final and your funds remain in the Dabble system for future events unless the event doesn't go forward. You can request to cancel your booking for another event if more than 7 days from the original event AND you will receive Dabble credit if more than 72 hours after purchase.

  • If you register and wish to cancel less than 7 days you'll need to request approval from your host through your Dabble dashboard. This is NOT guaranteed and unless you hear back you should try to give your tickets away or sell them and let us know who will be attending in your place.

  • If you register within 48 hours of the event being held and something comes up, there will be no refund or credit on your purchase.

  • At any time, you can sell or give away your registration to another person if you are unable to attend an event and they can attend under your name.

  • In lieu of cancellation, you may be permitted to move a registration to a different date if approved and less than the 7-day cut-off period, when available.

  • In the event that an event is canceled by the teacher for any reason or does not meet the minimum, Dabble will issue you a full cash refund for your ticket. Events that do not reach the minimum are canceled automatically and refunded 25 hours before the event. The refund will be reflected in 1-2 business days depending on your method of payment.

  • Due to the time and coordination involved in planning and booking private events, they are subject to Dabble's private event cancellation policy. Private event bookings are refundable if canceled within 72 hours from the time of booking but must be canceled more than 15 days in advance of the booked event. Less than 15 days from an event, private bookings are non-refundable and will be credited to a user's account for rebooking. If a suitable makeup date cannot be confirmed within 1 year then 70% of the credit is eligible for a refund within 30 days of the request.

FINE PRINT:

  • You are eligible for a refund in cash if the teacher cancels the event for any reason or the event does not meet the set minimum. Otherwise, you'll need to find someone to sell or give your ticket to in order to guarantee your registration is not wasted. Some teachers are willing to allow you to join a later event that does not sellout with your original registration being paid on the date registered or they will add extra spots to sold-out events and if they sell you are off the hook. We encourage you to message the teacher directly from the event page explaining the situation with the understanding that less than 7 days Dabble is committed to paying them for your spot.

  • We'll do all we can to support your request (hey, things come up...) but no guarantees less than 7 days as our event partners need time to plan, prepare materials, manage their venue booking and market their event.

  • Any registration order is eligible for a full cash refund upon request if made within 72 hours of purchase. In the event a registration is made less than 72 hours before an event only Dabble credit will be issued. No cancellation request the day of an event for any registration(s) made less than 72 hours before the start of an event will be approved. After 72 hours from the purchase or less than 72 hours from the start of an event, all sales are final. Any cash refund will be returned to the method of payment within 1 to 2 business days.

  • Any registration(s) can be canceled directly from your user dashboard less than 72 hours from the purchase AND more than 7 days out from the scheduled date and time of the event. For any cancellation, after the 72-hour window, you will be issued Dabble Bucks in the amount paid for use on a future Dabble.

  • Cancellations for any registration(s) less than 7 days away can be requested from your dashboard, but will be deemed as a last-minute cancellation and will be left at the discretion of the course teacher.* Approved cancellation requests will be credited to the method of payment within 1 to 3 business days or can be taken as Dabble Bucks.

It's super important for hosts & teachers to have a sense of headcount in advance of the event so they can best plan ahead. Additionally, Dabble is committed to paying a teacher for registrations seven days from the event date.

Event Rescheduling and Cancellation

  • Most events must meet an established minimum set by the event host to move forward. If the minimum is not met 25 hours in advance of the event start time, the event will be automatically canceled and all registered guests refunded to the method of payment. This minimum will be listed on the event page and during the checkout process if below the minimum at the time of purchase. Feel free to reach out to the host or Dabble if you need to confirm an event is moving forward!

  • Dabble reserves the right to cancel or change any Dabble event at any time, for any reason with a notice sent to all registered guests and host if not initiated by the event host. All Dabble experiences are valid only for the specified date. Dabble is not responsible for any changes or cancellations made to events by the Teacher or Host.

  • If an event is canceled for any reason, Dabble in coordination with the event host, shall arrange a suitable rain check, transfer to a future date, Dabble credit or a refund to any registered guests with funds generally returned in 1-2 business days.

  • Refunds are not provided to students who are unable to attend a Dabble experience (health, work, traffic, etc.) however a credit for a future event may be given at Dabble or the event host's discretion. If you need further assistance, please contact Dabble’s customer support at: hello@dabble.co.
